I don’t know where to start… First of all, the journey to Mars with Galactic Airjets was as expected. It was like a regular flight on earth, just longer. But my travel companion left me speechless. How can you let C-0PO accompany people? I had to calm him down for half the flight and stop him from jumping out of the window. Honestly, that’s not my responsibility.
When we finally arrived on Mars, I met my host family at the airport. They were nice and friendly.
I took the Mars 1 course taught by EH.TH. and Ralf and easily passed the certificate exam. The two teachers are good at preparing you for the exam.
I recommend Rootalingua to anyone who wants to expand their horizons!

The Rootalingua campus is ideally located so that we could easily reach the sights and the excursions. However, the campus is also a bit remote, so that, we could practice some of the skills we had learned at the survival camp. Awesome!
The journey to Mars with Lukas Himmelwalker was a highlight. He answered all my questions about the Star Mars saga. I chose to travel with the Space Shuttle. A good choice! The time on board went by very quickly and suddenly 6 years had passed and I landed finally on Mars!
I attended the Mars 2 preparation course with Johda. And yes, he’s the venerable Jedi Master JOHDA. I couldn’t believe it when he finally stood in front of us. Of course, he was standing on a table otherwise, we would have simply overlooked him. He’s the best Martian language teacher, and I learned so much during this trip. I have not only learned the Martian language but also gained new experiences for life!
The only negative experience was that the interplanetary mailing system with our friends on planet Uranus had failed. The windstorms were so strong that they diverted the signal to the moon each time.

A must for all space fans!

As a long-time fan of space and science fiction, I had quite high expectations for this trip and I doubted that they could be met. Luckily, I was wrong. They were even exceeded!
Thanks to the Survival Camp in the Midwest, I was perfectly prepared for my stay on planet Mars. My host family gave me a warm welcome, supported me in learning the Martian language and included me in their everyday life. I was soon able to effortlessly hold conversations with them. In addition, I was even allowed to use their Martian scooter to get my own galactic driver’s licence.
The lessons at the Rootalingua school offer a perfect mix of grammar, listening comprehension and speaking exercises. The classes are kept small, which allows the teachers to respond well to the individual needs of students.
I would love to go back!

Wow, where do I even begin? I will definitely never forget my trip to Mars and my 12-month-long stay there. The travel was quite long, which gave me enough time to reconsider the whole thing. Since there was no turning back anyway, I decided to just take things as they come. It just so happened that I didn’t get along with my host family at all. Fortunately, Rootalingua helped me find a more suitable family with whom I felt very comfortable. From then on, the journey changed into a positive direction.
The school was simply top. I quickly felt at home because the staff and teachers really have put in a lot of effort. The legendary parties once a month organised by our teacher Root are unforgettable. In addition, I was very impressed by Martian culture. Within just a few months, I felt like a real Martian and, therefore, was very sad when the stay was over.

EH.TH. wants to go home – and so do I

The trip, food, and language school: Everything was well-organised as well as guided and accompanied in a professional way. However, nothing could stop me from feeling earthsick. Actually, already the Mars Survival Camp showed me that it wasn’t going to be easy (I barely passed the examination). Ralf tried everything he could to help me, but I still had to leave Mars earlier than planned. I had mixed feelings while saying goodbye and starting the journey towards home.
Traveling to Mars together with C-0PO gave me a secure and safe feeling. It was nice having someone with me, who went through all ups and downs of flying.
I can recommend Rootalingua only to a limited extent. They didn’t charge me for the earlier transfer back to earth. Nevertheless, I think this language stay is only suited for travel-enthusiasts who find their way around anywhere they go.

From now on, I’ll be only surfing on dry land!

I really enjoyed my language travel to Mars. The lessons are varied and well structured. Especially the dry surfing lessons with Schtitsch were an amazing experience! However, there is also a lot of other things to discover on Mars. Whether it’s a visit to Valle Marineris or a trip to the Alienland theme park. I often got the best advice from the friendly Martians, and I didn’t fall for tourist traps. My absolute favourite place on Mars: the extinct volcano Olympus Mons.
